Designing a fully detailed Internal DE&I Strategy Deck for the C-Suite
Bloomberg Media Group engaged me to elevate an internal DE&I presentation for their People & Culture team. The objective was to bring clarity, structure, and polish to a complex and layered initiative spanning onboarding, events, leadership development, recognition, and wellness. Working closely with the Corporate DE&I Director, I translated diverse topics into a coherent narrative, using a modular slide system and Bloomberg’s brand voice to ensure executive-level clarity and emotional resonance.
The Ask
To visually structure and elevate a multi-topic presentation covering DE&I programs, people operations, macro trends, internal feedback, and employee development, all under one unified internal story.
The Challenge
The content was fragmented, word-heavy, and lacked hierarchy, making it hard for audiences to follow or feel inspired. Key ideas were buried. Visual consistency and messaging structure were missing across slides, and the narrative impact didn’t reflect the ambition of the program.
The Solution
I built a modular, editorial-style slide system that:• Established a clear grid and typographic hierarchy • Balanced data, programs, and people through storytelling • Integrated real photography and custom icons for clarity • Applied minimalist layouts with branded accents for cohesion • Structured the flow from macro context → strategy → personal impact Slide themes ranged from cultural trends and DE&I practices to leadership, well-being, and career growth.
The Outcome
The final presentation was used across departments and C-level leadership to align teams around shared goals, DE&I strategy, and annual programming. It helped the People Ops team articulate their value in a clear, organized, and inspiring way, while reinforcing Bloomberg’s commitment to inclusion and conscious leadership.
